The Game week starts every Monday morning (9am UK time) and closes at the end of the last event every Sunday evening.

Players/Picksters/Tipsters or any other name they may prefer to bestow upon themselves, are enabled to choose their avatars, send instant messages through the game, message non-players outside the game to challenge them, create their own mini-leagues and share their selections with friends if they want.

The object of the Game is to accumulate as many points as you can before the end of the Game period on a Sunday evening.

Every player starts the week with 1,000 points, and every day during the Game, they receive a further 1,000 points in case they happened to lose all of their points up to that point.

Everyday there are a number of propositions covering different events called Plays. All of the events will have a number of potential outcomes and these have been marked up in accordance with chance of that outcome being the most likely one.

And unlike fantasy leagues and celebrity indexes, PicksPal UK has its feet grounded in reality.

If a player correctly predicts the outcome of an event, the number of points that he has ‘staked’ upon that outcome will be multiplied by the odds of that outcome happening and then added to the player’s points total.

Players can then continue to stake points on other propositions (‘plays’) throughout the Game period in an attempt to increase their points total as much as possible.

At the end of every Sunday evening a number of winners are selected (from the overall league table and those players who have won large numbers of points from one Play, etc) and prizes awarded.

All the weekly leagues are cleared down at this time in readiness for the new week’s game.
